1. "Column not found"

  • The Issue: Although Excelmatic’s AI is highly intelligent and usually identifies columns automatically, it may occasionally fail if headers are ambiguous, contain special characters, or have leading/trailing spaces.
  • The Fix:
    • Best Practice: Wrap column names in 'Single Quotes' (e.g., 'Net Revenue') to ensure 100% accuracy, especially for complex headers.
    • Check for hidden spaces in your original Excel file.
    • If the AI still misses it, try stating: "List all column names" first to see how the AI sees your data.

2. My command is ignored or produces wrong results

  • The Issue: The output doesn't match your instruction.
  • The Fix: Excelmatic handles natural language well, but for multi-step tasks, clarity is king. Use the 4-Pillar Method (Action, Scope, Condition, Output).
    • Instead of: "Clean this."
    • Try: "Remove duplicates based on 'Email', then sort by 'Date' descending; output to a new sheet."

3. File upload limit reached

  • The Issue: You receive an error when uploading a file.
  • The Fix:
    • Check your tier's file size limit (Free: 50MB, Professional: 100MB, Premium: 300MB).
    • Please ensure the file format is supported for export.
    • If you've reached your monthly limit, visit Account & Subscription to upgrade.

📁 File & OCR Specifics

How accurate is the "Image/PDF to Excel" feature?

Excelmatic uses industry-leading OCR. For the highest precision:

  • Ensure photos are taken from directly above with good lighting.
  • For PDFs, use digital versions rather than scanned ones if available.

What happens to my original data?

Excelmatic never modifies your source file. It works on a virtual copy. You can always download the "Current State" of your work, and your original data remains safe and untouched.

🔒 Privacy & AI

Q: Is my data used to train AI models?

A: Absolutely not. Your data remains within your private session. Excelmatic uses enterprise-grade API protocols that ensure your business intelligence is never used to train or improve global AI models.

Q: Can I delete my history?

A: Yes. You have full control. You can delete individual files or clear your entire chat history at any time from the dashboard.
